		<description>i did this way

    * As admin, Start --&gt; Run ; type &quot;services.msc&quot; and press enter. This brings up a list of Windows services that you can start, stop and configure.
    * Find the Security center, double click on it and change the Security Center from Auto start to Manual. Select OK and close the services dialog box.
    * Restart. Security Center won&#039;t run at all.

i tweaked it to stop and the icon vanished

<description>Sometimes I feel like I could tell Bill Gates where to stick his OS, it&#039;s now become a nightmare every time I down load WIN updates. I turned all this crap off now I am NOT plagued with one of the following
1. My anti-virus software [ which is registered till 2019] tells me I am NOT registered. so I have to input my code AGAIN!
2. The wallpaper keeps changing every time I boot up
3. Micro Crap tells me my soft ware is not genuine [ which means I paid money to a pirate in a retail store ] CRAP!!
it IS genuine [ but the same copy may have been sold to 50 other people].
4. It stuffs up my work in progress because the updates hog all the resources
I would love to strip all the crap out of my OS and have a program that doesn&#039;t send me a message everyday
telling me things I couldn&#039;t give a tinkers curse about
