google-logo.jpg Google is undoubtedly the best search engine and has amazing marketing strategies too and that’s why it was able to capture 70 % of the search engine market share. Well, the reason why it’s doing better than ever is that, it consistently makes changes in it’s algorithm and tries to ensure that you get the best results in least amount of time.

Google OneBox is one such attempt from Google and provides you some quick information and here are some of the quick searches, which will save your lot of time -

1. Whois : Probably one of the quickest way of finding out the whois information about any domain name. Simply type whois domain name and click search and you’ll get to know that when exactly this domain was registered and when it’ll expire. For e.g. this is what you get when you do the whois for reviewsaurus.com

2. Local Search : Simply type the name of the business and the city and most likely you’ll get the phone number of that particular business.

3. Movies : This type of result doesn’t give the desired result always, however with many movies it displays the length of the movie and lets you find the show timings in your area too.

4. Finance : Just type the listed name of the company and it’ll pull up the data from Google Finance and will show you the current price of the stock and the performance of the stock in the graph. For e.g. performance of Google itself.

5. Weather : If you want to find out the weather of your city then simply type weather city name and it will show you that days weather along with the predicted weather of next 3 days. For e.g. weather of new delhi.

6. Courier services : It currently supports UPS and Fedex. Just type the tracking number in the search box and you’ll get the status of the shipping in the search result.

7. Definition : If you want to find the definition of any word, simply type define keyword and you’ll get the definition of that particular word. For e.g. define blog.
