In the recent change in the Alexa ranking, YouTube has managed to replace it’s own parent company i.e. Google. Google went down from two spots and has secured the 4th position in the list of top 10 websites.
In other notable changes, hi5 has gone up by 1 point from 9th position to 8th and MSN has gone down from 6th to 7th.
It’s interesting to see the growth of YouTube as it’s pageviews are way too high as compared to Google and this graph from Alexa shows us the stats :
However, the reach of Google is still higher as compared to YouTube :
Interestingly in the department of pageview, YouTube was on the verge of beating Yahoo and was about to become the number 1 website in the world, but I guess YouTube will need to generate more interesting videos, in order to achieve this task -
So, what do you think , will YouTube be able to replace Yahoo’s dominance ?

considering the fact that alexa is BS and is based on blogger’s traffic ( as nearly 99% blogger has alexa toolbar installed ), I will not rank these based on alexa. I can live without yahoo, but without Google, I cant :P … Its my source of traffic , income , mails and many more. Not to forget , I also cant live without youtube .. :P .. For me 1.google 2.youtube 3.(may be) yahoo.
For me, alexa is just a reference because not everything has it installed. I wonder the how usage wide of alexa actually. Google is definitely No.1 as it covers 58% of search engine market. Yahoo, long way to catch up.
That shows that people are more interested in viewing videos than doing searches. :D
