But IMO, the beauty of Twitter is that is is updateable via many sources - desktop clients, firefox etc. And the SMS feature is the best part. But I hate the downtimes. I mean.. they have scheduled downtimes every week and even those scheduled ones don't happen regularly. The keep postponing the downtimes after initial announcements (and this happens every week or so :() For instance, they were recently down during MacWorld. They're not able to take the load. They should have fixed things right now considering they're getting quite popular but they're still riding with less resources as far as I can guess. Pownce, on the other hand, is very cool. But no IM support AFAIK. And that sucks about it. But I've never seen them having any real problems and downtimes like Twitter. I love Twitter.
