Zoho Business is in! Google Apps is out!

zoho-business When it comes to fanaticism, I’m completely against it however, we all have some special liking towards certain products or brand following or brand loyalty, what ever you want to call it. I’ve got brand loyalty towards Zoho and it’s only because the kind of work they are doing in the field of Online Office.

Till this time, no online office is even inch close to what Zoho office has to offer. Zoho Business is one of the service which I’ve been looking closely and my recent visit to Zoho’s office in Chennai gave me the opportunity to speak to Zoho Business developers and they told me their plans with Zoho Business (Currently in closed Beta).

Zoho Business is a collection of all the Zoho products and closely integrates all the services together like Zoho Writer, Sheet, Show, Meeting, Chat, Notes, Calendar, Planner, Notebook and a lot others.

The good points with Zoho Business is that it closely integrates all the apps unlike Google Apps where all the services are not closely knit. However, the only drawback of Zoho Business is that it doesn’t provide the hosted email services at this time but soon that problem will go away too! When I spoke to the developers they told me that they are already working on the hosted email as well.

Right now, I’m stuck to Google Apps however, the day Zoho Business gets hosted email solution, I’m for sure moving over to Zoho Business.

    We didn’t realize Zoho Business had plans for email hosting. Maybe we will hold on consideration of Google Apps for email hosting.

    We’re using Zoho Projects to coordinate development of our new online store, ImprintsJewelry.com. Zoho has given us the ability to keep everything in one place and coordinate remotely to plan the best services and products for our clients. We’ve only been using it for a month and want more!

    @ Dana : Indeed Zoho is really great and the kind of work they do is simply awesome. well, I could sense the energy level at Zoho (during my visit) and then I realized that how they are able to make such great products :)

    The energy is understandable. When I two other online collaboration sites. We didn’t even realize about Zoho Apps. And hosted email on top of that? We’re in!!

    Do you have any “informal” estimate of when they will provide email hosting? 3, 6, 9 months?
